The Drone Light Festival

Wichita’s drone light festival returns, building on two years of sold-out success! Experience an unforgettable evening where technology meets art and the sky becomes our canvas. As a special bonus for 2024, this event marks the grand opening of the new Wichita Foundation Amphitheater and an all-new event plaza at Exploration Place. 300 synchronized drones will illuminate the night sky with dazzling, music-choreographed formations, while new custom displays complement returning favorites. Hillsboro Arts & Craft Fair
Where:Hillsboro, KS
Each year exhibitors from across the nation are selected by a committee of judges and invited to bring their handcrafted products to Hillsboro for its nationally recognized craft show. These experts come from each coast to display and sell their handiwork and one-of-a-kind creations. Local food and hometown hospitality add flavor to this already spectacular event. There’s something for every palate, everything from Hillsboro’s famous smoked sausage, zwieback and bierocks to kettle corn, roasted almonds, fresh-squeezed lemonade and funnel cakes.

Greater Andover Days (GAD) is a festival that occurs the 4th weekend after Labor Day weekend. The event offers handfuls of fun, food, and entertainment for the entire family! Over 5,000 people attend GAD annually. The festival includes a food court, KidFest, parade, fishing clinic, car show, business expo/craft fair, carnival, live entertainment and a fireworks show in Central Park.

Whimmydiddle Arts and Crafts Fair comes to Scott City Park on the last Saturday of every September. One of the largest craft shows in Western Kansas, this event features over 200 exhibitors from across the United States who arrive with original art, metal working, pottery and crafts in wood, fabric, jewelry, silk & dried flowers.

Come one, come all to the annual Fall Great Plains Renaissance and Scottish Festival! Wichita’s long standing fall tradition returns September 8 and 29 in Sedgwick County Park. Aye, there’ll be jests and jousts, falconry and fire breathing, damsels and daredevils, bagpipes and belly dancers, singing pirates, The Wichita Highland Games, Celtic music, kings and queens, Vikings and vagabonds, Kansas Authors Pavilion/renaissance in reading, fairies and fairy tales, fantastic artists, the siege engine competition marvelous merchants and much, much more!

The Udall Fall Festival has been an annual tradition on the 1st weekend in October. It is put on by a dedicated group of volunteers.
